One day after Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) rolled out the iOS 7.0.6 firmware update to the public on Friday, evad3rs, the iOS hackers team that created the popular evasi0n untethered jailbreak tool, released an updated package of their jailbreak software, evasi0n7, bringing it to version 1.0.6 to support the latest iOS update.
Last week, Apple released the iOS 7.0.6 update containing a bug fix for SSL connection verification for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Following the release of the new firmware, jailbreak users were advised by renowned iOS hacker MuscleNerd to stay away from the update until evasi0n7 is updated to support the new iOS version.
However, on Saturday, the evasi0n7 1.0.6 was released by evad3rs with support for iOS 7.0.6. Because the new evasi0n7 version is optimized for iOS 7.0.6, which includes a major security flaw in the OS, users are recommended to update to the latest firmware before using evasi0n7 1.0.6 to jailbreak their device.

Points To Note

- Supported firmware: iOS 7.0, 7.0.1, 7.0.2, 7.0.3, 7.0.4, 7.0.5, 7.0.6, 7.1 beta1, 7.1 beta2, 7.1 beta3.

- Supported devices: All iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini models running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.6.

- System requirements: MacOSX 10.7/10.8/10.9 or Windows (XP minimum)

- Ensure you have the latest version of iTunes installed in the computer.

- Back-up your device using iTunes (or iCloud) before using evasi0n.

- If you have back-up passwords in iTunes, disable them for now. After doing so, iTunes makes a brand new back-up. Wait for that back-up to complete before proceeding. You can re-enable the back-up password after jailbreaking.

- Disable the lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n.

- Avoid all iOS- and iTunes-related tasks until after the jailbreak.

Here are the steps to jailbreak iOS 7.0.6 using evasi0n7 1.0.6:

NOTE: International Business Times is not responsible for any damage caused by jailbreaking your iOS device or running unapproved software. Users should proceed at their own risk.

Step 1: Download evasi0n7 1.0.6 -- Windows and Mac -- and extract the package. Windows users can save it on their desktop.

Step 2: Mac users should double click on the evasi0n7 app to run it. Windows users should right click on the evasi0n.exe file and select “Run as administrator.” Click on “Yes” if a User Access Control window appears.

Step 3: Connect the device to your computer via USB cable. And wait for evasi0n7 to detect it.

Step 4: Once the device is detected, the Jailbreak button will be activated. Click on the Jailbreak button to start the process.

If the process gets stuck somewhere, it is safe to restart the program, reboot the device (if necessary by holding down Power and Home until it shuts down), and rerun the process.

Step 5: After the device is rebooted, you will be prompted to tap the evasi0n7 icon on your device’s Home screen.

Step 6: After tapping on the evasi0n7 icon, the screen will go white and reboot again.

Step 7: Once the process is complete, you will be on the device’s Lock screen. You can now swipe over to the second Home screen to find the Cydia icon.

Here is a tip from Evad3rs:
If you get an error on OS X 10.8 / 10.9 saying that evasi0n can't be opened, control-click (or right-click) the app and on the revealed context menu, choose 'Open.' On the ensuing dialogue box, choose 'Open' as well.

Enjoy..!! Thankyou!!

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7Expand
Now that iOS 7 is jailbroken and the drama has settled down, it's time to actually start playing around with some jailbreak apps. Here are some of our favorites currently available in Cydia for iOS 7.

Jailbreaking has changed a lot over the years, and the main reasons to jailbreak these days are to customize the look of iOS, fix annoyances, and add some clever new features. It's certainly not as exciting as it once was, but there's still plenty to do. If you're new to jailbreaking, check out our guide to Cydia to learn how to search for and install apps and tweaks. Otherwise, let's get to downloading.

Activator

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7

Activator's the easiest way to customize button and multitouch functionality on iOS, and the most recent version even allows you to create triggers for the TouchID button on the iPhone 5s. Basically, Activator makes it so you can set up custom gestures or button presses to do whatever you want. For example, you could make the volume buttons launch an app, or make your pinky finger send you back to the home screen. Activator is the backbone for a number of other jailbreak apps and tweaks making it a required install for just about anything that uses custom gestures.
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for Activator to download and install it for free.

BatterySafe

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7
BatterySafe is one of the more clever new iOS 7 jailbreak apps. When your iPhone gets low on battery power, BatterySafe automatically turns off power-hungry features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It doesn't have a ton of customization options yet, but it's still a simple way to automate your device's settings to help save on battery life.
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for BatterySafe to download and install it for free.

BioLockdown

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7

BioLockdown allows you to use your iPhone 5s TouchID sensor to lock apps, restrict settings, and more. With it enabled, a fingerprint is required to enable settings or launch apps. We've talked about a similar app before, but BioLockDown is cheaper at $2 and has a few more options to customize how it works. If you're looking for a tweak that'll launch certain apps with certain fingers, the upcoming Touchy is worth keeping your eye on and should be released within a week or so.
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for BioLockDown to download and install it for $1.99.

BiteSMS

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7
The iOS 7 version of BiteSMS is still in beta, but it's working well enough for you to use every day. BiteSMS supercharges your messaging, allowing you to easily reply to incoming texts from anywhere in iOS, mark messages to read later, and plenty more. It's super powerful and has enough features that many people jailbreak just to use it.
Want this jailbreak app? Add the http://test-cydia.bitesms.com/ repository to Cydia and search for BiteSMS to download and install it for free.

BytaFont 2

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7

If you want to change the font on your iOS device, BytaFont 2 is the easiest way to do it. After you install it, you can change the font in apps, on the lock screen, and more. The fonts themselves are still getting updated for iOS 7 support, but the app is up and working so you can get to customizing your iOS device however you see fit.
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for BytaFont 2 to download and install it for free.

CCControls

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7
As you might expect, the first thing jailbreak app developers went for was the new Control Center in iOS 7. A bunch of different tweaks and apps already exist to customize Control Center, but our favorite is CCControls. It has a ton of options: you can change which preference toggles appear in Control Center, what they look like, theme the look of Control Center, and more. It's also very easy to use so you don't have to spend a ton of time setting it up.
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for CCControls to download and install it for free.

CCHide

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7
If you'd rather delete things from Control Center, CCHide is the best way to do it. Just as you'd expect, CCHide allows you to remove different settings from Control Center, remove entire sections, and basically shrink down Control Center to just the options you want. It's simple, but does the job it sets out to do. One note though: don't use CCHide with CCControls, it'll cause your device to crash.
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for CCHide to download and install it for free.

iCleaner Pro

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7
iCleaner is a simple way to scan your iOS device for unnecessary files and clear up storage space on your iOS device. You can quickly delete all kinds of things that waste space, like message attachments, Safari cache, application cache, and more. It's not officially available for iOS 7 yet, but you can check out the beta right now. Since it is in beta, you'll use it at your own risk, so be careful what you do with it and don't delete anything you need.
Want this jailbreak app? Add the exile90software.com/cydia/beta/ repository to Cydia and search for iCleaner Pro to download and install it for free.

iFile

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7
iFile is a file browser and management app that gives you access to every file on your jailbroken iOS device. With it, you can copy, paste, and move files around, edit text files, import files onto your iOS device, upload them, and more. Basically, iFile is Finder for your iPhone, and it's good to have it around when you need it.
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for iFile to download and install it. You'll get a free 7-day trial to check it out, and it's $4.99 after that.

SwitchSpring

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7
The new app switcher in iOS 7 makes it so it's difficult to bulk quit apps. If you want to quit all your apps at once, Switch Spring ties that action to swiping up on your home screen when you're in the app switcher. When you do that, you're given the option to quit apps or restart the device. If you're not into the new app switcher's obnoxious way of closing apps, SwitchSpring is a must have.
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for SwitchSpring to download and install it for free.

TetherMe

The Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks for iOS 7
TetherMe allows you to turn your iPhone into a personal hotspot so you can share your cell phone's internet connection with a computer or other device. Once it's installed, you'll be able to enable tethering regardless of whether you pay for the feature through your carrier.1
Want this jailbreak app? Search Cydia for TetherMe to download and install it for $4.99.

The Best Minor Tweaks and Extras

  • Assistant Unrestrictor: Every once in a while, Siri's servers go down and when that happens, the assistant stops working. Assistant Unrestrictor routes Siri over to Voice Control when it's unavailable, so you can at least do a few minor things like change the music track, play albums, or make a phone call.
  • Bloard: Prefer the sleek dark keyboard in iOS 7 over the white one? Bloard enables it all the time.
  • CyDelete7: CyDelete makes it so you can delete Cydia apps just like you delete App Store apps. Just tap and hold on an app, wait for it to jiggle, and delete away.
  • Fav: Fav lets you pick one application that can be immediately accessible from the home screen with a right swipe (where Spotlight used to be).
  • F.lux: F.lux automatically changes your screen brightness and temperature to make it easier to read and to helps reduce eyestrain.
  • MapsAllCountries: MapsAllCounties enables turn-by-turn directions in the Maps app in countries where it's not officially supported.
  • Messages Customiser: Don't like the boring blue (or green) colors in the Messages app? Messages Customiser allows you to change the colors to just about whatever you want.
  • Nitrous: Chrome is slower than Safari on iOS because of some Apple-imposed restrictions. Nitrous removes those restrictions and makes Chrome just as fast.
  • NoNewMark: NoNewMark gets rid of the blue dot that appears on updated and new apps.
  • NoSlowAnimations: As the name suggests, NoSlowAnimations seriously speeds up animations in iOS 7.
  • Open In App for Photos: Open In App for Photos gives you the option to immediately share photos from the Photos app to any app that supports image import (like Dropbox, QuickOffice, Skitch, etc).
  • SwipeSelection: SwipeSelection makes editing text on the iPad and iPhone way better. Instead of forcing you to hunt and peck to find a line of text, SwipeSelection allows you to use gestures to get around and it's a lot easier to use.
  • Swipey: Swipey is an app launcher that works from your lock screen. All you need to do is swipe left and your favorite apps appear for launching.
  • TapTodaysCalendar: Ever tried to tap the date in Notification Center thinking that it'd take you to the calendar app? For some bizarre reason, it doesn't work, but TapTodaysCalendar makes it so it does.
We couldn't cover every single jailbreak app and tweak we love, and some, like SBSettings, haven't been updated for iOS 7 yet. Check out last year's roundup for a bunch more awesome jailbreak apps that aren't quite ready for iOS 7 yet.

Enjoy..!! Thankyou!!

Five iOS 7 jailbreak tweaks to look at this weekend

Five iOS 7 jailbreak tweaks to look at this weekend

By Arjun Vekariya
Cydia running iPhone 5s
While much of the emphasis has been placed on the arrival of popular jailbreak tweaks such as BiteSMS and Zeppelin, a number of lesser-known iOS extensions have also been released or updated for iOS 7 in recent days. Before you get too excited, remember that these tweaks are incompatible with the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and second-generation iPad mini until a MobileSubstrate update arrives. But if you are still rocking an older iOS device, read ahead for a quick look at five tweaks to explore this weekend…

Emphasize

Emphasize
While it has not officially been updated with iOS 7 support, Emphasize still allows you to customize the color of app labels, toggle switches and many other UI elements. Once installed, navigate to the Emphasize menu in Settings and you can select from a long list of color schemes: graphite, butter, orange, chocolate, chameleon, sky blue, plum, scarlet red, viridian, olive, steel, sienna, watercolor and hot pink. This tweak works flawlessly on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.4, although your personal mileage may vary. Emphasize, the work of iOS developer Ryan Petrich, is available on Cydia under his rpetri.ch/repo repository.

Bigify

Bigify
The purpose of this jailbreak tweak is simple — it allows you to hide icon labels. The tweak includes other options for the rotation angle, transparency and scaling of the dock and icons, but developers John Corbett and Joel Einbinder are still working on an iOS 7 update for those features. According to Einbinder, the new build should be released in just a few days. Bigify is a free package on Cydia from the default BigBoss repository.

TabLess

Tabless
iPhone and iPod touch users looking to simplify their device setup should find good use in TabLess, a new jailbreak tweak for iOS 7 that removes the two pull tabs from the Lock screen. Control Center and Notification Center are still accessible by swiping the top or bottom of the screen, just without those obtrusive grabbers in the way. If you like to theme your device, this tweak is especially useful. TabLess can be installed for free on Cydia in the default ModMyi repository.

NCAllOnly

NCAllOnly
Notification Center on iOS 7 has three tabs: all, today, and missed. As you would expect by it name, NCAllOnly is a basic jailbreak tweak that removes the “today” and “missed” tabs entirely, leaving you with just the “all” screen as it used to be on iOS 6. Simple, but useful. This is another tweak that probably caters towards themers, and can be installed for free on Cydia on the BigBoss repository.

iCleaner Pro

iCleaner Pro
Jailbreaking your device can take up a lot of space, and that is where iCleaner Pro comes in handy. Recently optimized for iOS 7, this jailbreak tweak scans the iOS filesystem to find and remove unnecessary files, such as large app caches from Safari, log files, temporary files, and Cydia package remnants.
iCleaner Pro 7.1 was released as a beta for iOS 7, and the developers are currently looking for feedback on the new version. You can install iCleaner Pro 7.1 on Cydia by adding the repository exile90software.com/cydia/beta/ to your sources. As with any tweak, backing up your device to iTunes or iCloud is highly recommended.
